PV Shyam Sunder Rao

MD and Co-Founder

Shyam is Managing Director and one of the founder members of Mirafra. He has hands on experience of more than a decade in creating and delivering complex verification technologies. Having led many verification projects, he has a deep understanding of verification challenges faced by the leading design teams today.

Before starting Mirafra, Shyam was one of the technical leaders in the Synopsys verification group. His technical leadership helped VCS in creating a differentiation against competition and led to multiple wins at customers. Shyam has a MS and a B.Tech. in Computer Science from University College of Engineering, Osmania University , Hyderabad.

Alok Kuchlous

CEO and Co-Founder

Alok Kuchlous is the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Mirafra. Before starting Mirafra, he was a Director of Engineering at Synopsys, responsible for VCS-MX and SystemVerilog solutions. Alok has an MS in Computer Engineering from University of Southern California and a B. Tech. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi.

Alok is passionate about learning and teaching. He is known to take random online courses and actually complete them. He has taught students ranging in age from 6 years to 36 years. The subjects have included Python, C/C++, Physics, Recreational Mathematics, Object Oriented Programming and SystemVerilog.

Bimal Bhattacharya

President and Head of Software Group

Bimal is the President and Head of the Software Engineering Group of Mirafra. He has more than three decades of experience in embedded system design, development, and deployment. He started his career at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre and has worked extensively in the design and development of various safety instruments and the simulation of process control loops.

In 2012, Bimal joined Mirafra after leading a global engineering team focused on advanced security products at Nokia. He then transitioned to a subcontracting sourcing role, establishing best practices and fostering a reliable ecosystem for site-wide subcontracting needs. Bimal holds a BE in Electrical Engineering from Gauhati University. Bimal enjoys intellectual stimulation through a wide range of books, from science and technology trends, particularly in AI, to fiction and non-fiction. He also finds enjoyment in outdoor activities like playing badminton and volleyball, valuing the opportunity to cultivate relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and interests.

Vishwanath Ananthakrishnan

Executive Vice President and GM, Hardware Engineering

Vishwanath Ananthakrishnan has been a key member of Mirafra Technologies for over thirteen years, and currently leads as the Senior Vice President and General Manager in the Hardware Engineering Group. His extensive tenure at Mirafra is part of a nearly two-decade-long career in the semiconductor industry, which also includes significant roles at SGI (US) and Chelsio.

Vishwanath’s area of expertise is in the design verification of advanced shared-memory system supercomputing ASICs, enterprise smart NICs, and networking switching chips. Vishwanath has been instrumental in the development of VLSI technology verticals, significantly contributing to Mirafra’s leadership in semiconductor product engineering services.

An alumnus of the University at Buffalo, State University of New York, where he earned his Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering specializing in deep submicron VLSI designs, Vishwanath’s achievements include being featured as one of the “Top 10 Senior Vice Presidents – 2023” in India. Outside of his professional life, Vishwanath enjoys cricket and Formula 1, engages with books, and has interests in wildlife, marine aquariums, travel, driving, and yoga. These diverse interests enrich his leadership, fostering a dynamic culture at Mirafra.

Shailesh Jadhav, ACC

Vice President and Head of HR

Shailesh Jadhav is the Head of the HR function at Mirafra. He drives innovative and strategic initiatives to enhance the employee experience at Mirafra by bringing agile HR practices aligned with the business-people needs of the organization. Shailesh has been associated with Mirafra for more than a decade, with responsibilities in HR, compliance, legal, and general operations.

Shailesh is a dynamic and seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in Human Resources (HR). Throughout his career, he has led several key HR functions, including talent acquisition, talent management, leadership development, organizational development, employee relations, and culture shaping.

Prior to his appointment at Mirafra, Shailesh worked in various industry domains including IT, telecom R&D, aerospace, manufacturing, and public-private partnerships. He started his career with the Indian Army and has worked with Hindalco (Aditya Birla Group), ITC, Canadian Aviation, and Tieto. An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Shailesh’s achievements include being featured as one of the “The 10 Most Influential HR Executives of the Year 2022” and “Top 100 HR Tech Minds 2018.” In his private time, Shailesh enjoys outdoor running, participating in marathons, mountaineering and trekking expeditions, team games, and community development work.

Krishnaraj KV

Vice President, Global Sales Head (Software)

Krishnaraj KV stands out with 35+ years of experience, crossing the thresholds of entrepreneurship, software development, managerial and sales roles. His passion for his work and the ability to consistently deliver beyond commitments have marked him as a successful figure in every assignment undertaken. At Mirafra, Krishnaraj’s adaptability, creativity, and profound professional journey inspire innovation and excellence. Outside of work, Krishnaraj enjoys reading books and spending time alone introspecting.

Venkata Vali Kumar Duttaluri

Vice President and Practice Head of Embedded Software Services, Head of Hyderabad Software Engineering

Venkata Duttaluri, with over 25 years in IT and telecom, specializes in Operation and Technology Management. As Vice President of Software Engineering at Mirafra Technologies, he leads over 150 engineers, driving growth in the embedded domain. Based in Hyderabad, Telangana, Venkata continues to influence the tech industry with his innovative approaches and dedication to excellence. Venkata’s career highlights include innovative API testing tool development and receiving a pat-on-back award at Mphasis. His technical expertise spans C, Embedded C, C++, and multiple platforms including Android and iOS. He holds an MCA from Osmania University and a B.Sc. in Computer Science.

Ramachandra Rao

Vice President

Ramachandra Rao EVBS, VP , with more than three decades of experience leading projects across telecom and EduTech, he champions digital transformation using Cloud, Big Data, and Analytics while fostering Centers of Excellence. RC Rao boasts a proven record in developing B2C/B2B/B2G products, ensuring quality management, and compliance. He holds an MS from BITS Pilani, an MBA from Symbiosis International University, and a B.Tech from JNTU. Ramachandra Rao enjoys Badminton, followed by an interest in Astrology and Electronic gadgets. He also holds a belief in ancient wisdom.

Mayank Varshney

Vice President of Engineering

Mayank as VP of Engineering drives the US business, Customer Relations, Engineering Workforce and Strategic Operations for Mirafra US Geography.

A passionate Semiconductor Executive who is driven towards Design, Technology and the great people of the Tech Industry who are behind making it happen. His experience in Design, EDA, Foundry and Engineering as well as Customer Interfacing roles, bring out the Long term Perspective on Semiconductor Industry and makes him a eternal Optimist as far as Innovation & Growth in Tech are concerned.

Topics of interest are wide ranging from Core CPU design, new age AI Design Architecture, PPA Optimization, Machine Learning, Front to Backend Chip Design, Verification, Implementation and Validation.

Vinod John

Vice President, Hardware Engineering & Practice Head – Analog

Vinod John’s journey from an Electrical & Electronics Engineer graduate from Mangalore University to the VP of Hardware Engineering at Mirafra is a testament to his dedication and skill. With 18 transformative years at KarMic, followed by his pivotal role at Mirafra since 2017, Vinod leads a formidable team of ~80 engineers. His passion lies in enabling and grooming talent, ensuring Mirafra’s Analog, IO, Memory, RF, and Hardware Board functions are at the forefront of innovation. Vinod’s leadership is steering Mirafra towards new heights in the engineering domain. Vinod enjoys cooking, gardening, and caring for his aquarium outside of work.

Shyam Sundarmoorthy

Vice President, Hardware Engineering

With more than 20 years shaping the semiconductor landscape, Shyam Sundaramoorthy stands at the forefront of digital implementation and functional safety innovation. As Vice President of Hardware Engineering, he transforms complex engineering challenges into scalable solutions, drawing from his extensive experience with global technology leaders like Intel, AMD, Qualcomm and Infineon.

Shyam’s technical mastery encompasses the full spectrum of IC design backend flows—from strategic design planning through final signoff—utilizing cutting-edge EDA technologies. His deep expertise in automotive safety standards, especially ISO 26262, enables him to architect processes that meet the most stringent industry requirements. A natural leader and process innovator, Shyam excels at establishing frameworks that drive operational excellence across distributed engineering teams. When not advancing semiconductor technology, he enjoys analyzing investment strategies, networking with industry professionals, and discovering new music.

Anoop Oruvingal

Vice President - Post Silicon Validation

Anoop brings over 20 years of industry experience, with a specialization in post-silicon validation spanning 18 years. He has extensive experience in validating multiple IPs in SoCs with diverse architectures (PowerPC, ARM, X86) across various markets.

Having been with Mirafra for a decade, Anoop currently serves as the practice head for the Post Silicon Validation practice. Under his leadership, the team has expanded to 175 engineers, delivering high-quality results across a range of industry projects. Outside of work, Anoop enjoys a well-rounded life that includes farming, adventurous treks, maintaining a vibrant fish aquarium, and playing badminton and cricket occasionally.

Bhupesh J Bharde

Senior Director, Hardware Engineering Group

Bhupesh J Bharde has been an integral part of Mirafra Technologies for over three years, currently holding the position of Senior Director in the Hardware Engineering Group. With over two decades of experience in the semiconductor industry, he specializes in FPGA & SoC design, system architecture, verification, and validation.

Bhupesh manages the growth of the RTL, FPGA & Emulation departments at Mirafra, solidifying the company’s top-tier status in semiconductor product engineering services. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering from KKW Engineering College, University of Pune, and completed a Post Graduate Program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning from the University of Texas at Austin. Outside of his professional endeavors, Bhupesh finds joy in long walks and playing table tennis, he also indulges in reading books, and holds a keen interest in ecology, travel, and driving

Gaurav Agrawal

Head, Automotive Software Engineering

Since joining Mirafra in 2022, Gaurav Agrawal has been at the forefront of the Automotive domain as a practice head. His role involves crafting a team of efficient Automotive engineers and delivering engineering solutions that resonate with Mirafra’s clientele. Gaurav’s technical acumen spans Embedded C, Assembly programming, various communication protocols, and a plethora of development and testing tools. His career highlights include impactful stints at Denso Corporation, Lear Corporation, and Robert Bosch, making him a key figure in automotive engineering innovation.

Ridhima Deopa

Head - Talent Acquisition at Mirafra Technologies

Ridhima is a result-driven Talent Acquisition leader with nearly 16+ years of progressive experience in building high-performance recruitment teams and positioning talents across levels to meet business objectives and goals. Ridhima’s leadership and talent acquisition expertise has been instrumental in building and scaling high-performing engineering teams across the Frontend, Backend, and Analog domains at Mirafra. As Director of Talent Acquisition, she leads a dedicated recruitment team focused on excellence.

Before Mirafra, Ridhima honed her skills at Careernet Technologies, managing key accounts and overseeing end-to-end recruitment within the semiconductor industry. Outside of work, she enjoys unwinding with a good book, exploring new destinations, and staying connected.

Tathagata Bhattacharyya

Vice President , Engineering and Business

Mr. Tathagata brings over 27 years of experience in embedded software, firmware, and middleware development for multimedia products, spanning speech, audio, and video technologies. Over the years, he has held senior roles with leading global companies such as Motorola, Philips, NXP Semiconductors, and most recently served as Director and Country Head for Goodix India. He is widely recognized for his expertise in software architecture design, program management, operational leadership, and his ability to build and sustain strong customer relationships. An alumnus of NIT Durgapur and IIM Bangalore, Tathagata blends deep technical insight with strategic business thinking.

Outside of work, he’s passionate about soccer, running, dancing, and enjoys listening to Bollywood music.

James Hemeon

Executive Vice President, Worldwide Strategic Accounts.

James Hemeon brings more than 35 years of international leadership in semiconductors, systems, and EDA, with a career defined by the enablement of Tier One client successes that have generated hundreds of millions in revenue. He most recently served in senior executive roles at Synapse Design[QuestGlobal] and Prodapt where he lead & managed the international growth of targeted multi-billion dollar systems and semiconductor accounts.

Vaibhav Ruparelia

Senior Director, Hardware Engineering Group

Vaibhav Ruparelia is a senior semiconductor engineering leader with over 16 years of experience in Analog/Mixed-Signal (AMS) circuit design, high-speed SERDES design, and Design-Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO). He has built and mentored global cross-functional teams while leading the end-to-end execution of complex design programs—from architecture definition and circuit design through silicon validation and model-to-hardware correlation.

He has delivered several first-time-silicon, high-performance designs, including an industry-first 56 Gbps SERDES Distributed Arithmetic FFE (DA-FFE) architecture optimized for power efficiency; a packaged 10 W Class-D audio amplifier implemented on an early-maturity BCD technology platform; a 1 A load 3D-integrated buck converter using TSVs; a novel transimpedance amplifier (TIA) achieving best-in-class figures of merit (>100 GHz bandwidth, >60 dBΩ gain) for integrated silicon-photonics applications; and an on-chip PRBS-15 generator supporting up to 90 Gbps NRZ signaling.

A prolific innovator, Vaibhav holds 12 US patents and has authored more than 20 conference and journal publications—including at IEDM, OFC, and BCICTS—with over 100 citations. He has also delivered two invited talks. He previously served as a Patent Advocate on GlobalFoundries’ Circuits Panel, reviewing more than 200 invention disclosures.

Vaibhav earned his M.Tech in Microelectronics from IIT Bombay, where his research focused on variation-tolerant high-speed serial interfaces. Beyond his technical contributions, he is a recognized people leader who has mentored more than 30 engineers throughout his career. He has been selected for elite leadership programs at IIM Bangalore and CTO-Crest, and has received over 18 professional awards, including recognition for Outstanding Technical Achievement.

Jayaram Darvemula

Account Director

Jayaram Darvemula has been working as an Account Director and heading the Product Solutions sub-vertical, focusing on program and delivery management, building capability, and strengthening relationships with the customer. He has 20+ years of experience leveraging leadership skills to develop and expand multiple businesses. He has managed global projects in domains like Discrete Manufacturing, Rail Transportation, Semiconductor, Medical and Consumer with cross discipline teams (Electronics, Mechanical, Electrical and Software).

This vertical will support OEM customers in domains Discrete Manufacturing, Rail Transportation and Consumer etc. on product design, development, functional & compliance testing at system level along with proto build and serial production support.

Sreedhar Rao Vulesha

Practice Head of Digital Technology Services

Sreedhar Rao Vulesha is a seasoned technology leader with over two decades of experience in the IT industry, specializing in Application Services and Digital Transformation Solutions. As a Practice Head, he plays a pivotal role in defining strategic direction, building high-performing teams, and driving large-scale transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business value. Throughout his career, Sreedhar has successfully led global delivery organizations, managed complex enterprise programs, and enabled organizations to accelerate their digital transformation journeys through innovative technology solutions. His expertise spans application modernization, enterprise platforms, cloud adoption, automation, and AI-driven business transformation. Combining strong technical expertise with a customer centric mindset, Sreedhar is passionate about fostering innovation, developing talent, and helping organizations leverage emerging technologies to achieve sustainable growth and operational excellence.

Satyanarayana Kakara

Vice President Technology - Product and Solutions

Satyanarayana Kakara is a technology leader with over 25 years of experience in Mobile SoC platforms, embedded systems, AI, multimedia, and product engineering. He has led the development of innovative products across the Mobile, Automotive, IoT, and EdTech domains, working with global technology companies and high-growth startups. He currently heads the Product & Solutions Engineering group, driving technology strategy and customer solutions in embedded software, Linux and Android platforms, Edge AI, Qualcomm Snapdragon, camera systems, multimedia, and DSP technologies. Previously, he led engineering for an AI-powered EdTech startup, building speech and video analytics platforms to improve learning outcomes. He also spent eight years delivering advanced embedded and AI solutions on Qualcomm Snapdragon platforms for mobile, medical, automotive, and edge computing applications. During his twelve-year career at Qualcomm, he led multimedia R&D initiatives spanning camera, display, audio, speech, and DSP technologies for Snapdragon chipsets. Earlier, he contributed to audio and signal processing technologies at Ittiam Systems, Lucent Technologies, and a startup later acquired by NVIDIA. He holds patents in digital signal processing and audio algorithms and is passionate about building high-performing engineering teams and delivering scalable, next generation products.

Jonack J Gupta

Vice President - Business Development, Talent & Growth

Jonack J Gupta is the Head of Business Development, Talent & Growth at Mirafra Technologies, where he is responsible for driving global business development, strategic growth, customer partnerships, talent strategy, and organizational transformation. With nearly two and a half decades of leadership experience, including more than a decade at Mirafra, Jonack has successfully built and scaled businesses across India, Europe, United States, and the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to his current role, Jonack served as Vice President – Business at Logituit–Emtarang Techlabs LLC. Earlier, he served as Vice President – Talent Acquisition & Europe Sales at Mirafra Technologies. He has also held leadership positions at Quest Global, Endeva Solutions (GalaxE), Volt Information Sciences, Mattox Solutions, and Simplex Solutions. Beyond his corporate career, Jonack is a serial entrepreneur with successful ventures across IT Services, Business Process Outsourcing, Training & Development, Financial Services, Media , Hospitality and Healthcare . His entrepreneurial journey reflects his passion for building scalable businesses, fostering innovation, creating employment opportunities, and delivering long-term value to customers and society. Jonack is currently pursuing the Chief Growth and Marketing Officer (CGMO) Programme at ISB Executive Education, Indian School of Business (ISB), Outside of work, Jonack enjoys travelling, driving, scuba diving, cricket, swimming, yoga, and reading.
